<b>Dr Ambrogio Caiani</b> received his doctorate from Sidney Sussex College, University of Cambridge in 2009. Since then he has taught at the universities of Greenwich, York and Oxford and is currently Senior Lecturer in Modern European History at the University of Kent. Caiani's main research interests are Revolutionary France and Napoleonic Italy and his work has been published in several leading academic journals. His most recent book, <i>To Kidnap a Pope: Napoleon and Pius VII 1800–1815</i>, was published in 2021 by Yale University Press and won the 2021 Franco British Society book prize.
